Small Axe

Westerhall / Grenada

This 2,000 square foot house was designed for a young family of four. Located on a tiny lot facing Westerhall Bay, the house presents an opaque facade to the street in order to maintain privacy and opens up to the ocean view with large glass openings.

The building is L-shaped in plan with the public and private spaces organised along either side. Despite its relatively small size, the building employs an open plan strategy that allows adjoining rooms to open onto each other, thus giving the impression of a much larger spaces.
