The Caribbean Office of Co-Operative Architecture (COCOA) is an award-winning firm which was founded in 2000 by Grenadian architects Bryan Bullen and Trevor Bullen. Since its inception, COCOA has been at the forefront of the architectural profession in the Caribbean and has garnered a reputation for design excellence through progressive work that engages our experiences of contemporary culture.


COCOA has amassed an expansive portfolio to include large scale master planning developments, resorts, commercial and institutional buildings, in addition to multiple private residences. Our collaboration with engineers, project managers, quantity surveyors and other specialist consultants using state of the art technology has assured best practices; while our commitment to environmental protection, and providing sustainable design solutions has culminated in successful projects which meets and exceeds client’s expectations.

Meet our team

Bryan BullenDirector

Bryan Bullen is an award-winning architect, with a background in Industrial Design and Art. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1989 from the Ontario College of Art and Design (O.C.A.D) and his Master of  Architecture in 1995 from the world renown Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-ARC). Bryan operated his design practice, Analog in Toronto and has worked in the offices of Ellerbe Beckett in Los Angeles and Roger Turton Associates in Trinidad and Tobago. He has also provided architectural consultancy to the Louisiana Museum in Denmark. Upon his return to Grenada, he started the firm (COCOA) completing several residential and commercial projects (including the critically acclaimed Sankofa residence, Munding residence and the Grenada House of Parliament).
